What's an Agrihood?

What's an agrihood? What does that look like at Olivette?

The New York Times dubbed agrihoods “farm-to-table living” but at Olivette we just call it daily life.

Our community is designed with sustainability at its heart, which is why Olivette was created with Olivette Farm, our on-site, Certified Naturally Grown farm, at its core.

If you dream of strolling to your backyard to harvest fresh vegetables, fruit and herbs, Olivette has created a new kind of community in which you can stroll or bike down the road to your community’s year-round, full-production farm.

Life in an agrihood includes CSA options for residents, garden education opportunities for adults and children, a community garden plot, edible landscaping consulting and access to several acres of fresh fruit like blueberries and Asian pears. Life in an agrihood is not just about eating good food -- it’s about participating in the life of a sustainable, working farm and reaping the benefits of this more connected way of life.
